Airway-Fairway Golf Tournament - September 17, 2016
The 19th Annual Mountain Air Pilots Association Airway-Fairway Golf Tournament was held on September 17, 2016.
It was a great success.
The weather was great with 91 pilots, controllers, Mountain Air residents and guests playing.
As usual, the traveling trophy was awarded to the first place controller team, and prizes were distributed to players having the longest drives and closest to the pin on several holes.
Unfortunately, no one won the automobile for a hole-in-one on hole #12; however, we did have a hole-in-one on hole #2 by David Rickey for a $500 gift certificate.
The Airway-Fairway Golf Tournament is the largest fund-raiser each year to support the charitable work of MAPA.
The 2016 tournament produced a net profit of $11,462, one of the largest ever.
All 18 holes were sponsored at $500 each by MAPA pilots and other Mountain Air residents.
There were 6 service providers to Mountain Air that contributed a total of $500, and $485 was raised from the sale of mulligans.
Everyone is looking forward to the 20th Annual Airway-Fairway to be held on September 16, 2017.
It promises to be even better.
Make sure you put it on your calendar and plan to attend.

This is exactly what Mike Umstead has brought to the Mountain Air Pilots Association.
What is new and exciting is his vision for the organization and depth in which he wishes to engage the Association.
Please take a few minutes and review the attached presentation outlining his vision for Mountain Air Pilots Association over the next five years.
